Understanding the District Benchmark Assessment (DBA)

The APS Communications/Web Department has created a parent-friendly web page that explains the District Benchmark Assessment (DBA).

The page includes information on

  • what benchmark assessments are
  • the difference between the DBA and the SBA
  • who takes the test; what subjects are tested
  • how these test scores are used to improve student progress
  • and more

The page also includes a video featuring Chief Academic Officer Linda Sink explaining why our students take these tests and how the results are used to improve education. In addition, it includes several helpful links. The web address for the page is above.
